    • Hariom...This is the kind of tree called boggi tree .The buddha got samadhi in this kind of tree.We got a beautiful chance to get there and enjoyed the movement by feeling it in many ways by doing asana and meditate under that tree.There is a yellow board which says that,This is the tree that which buddha sit under in it and got samadhi "Who knows if you sit under this tree and became a Buddha just try it"...Offcourse we try...HAHA...(in the photo my and my wife)..Hariom Nama shivaya

    • Hariom...I was been to india for my marriage with my chinese soul mate.It was a wonderful day's around 30 days we stay in india with my full family.A real thing is Yoga makes us the link betwwen india and china a relation.In india we have many caste systems,As my father don't beleive in caste it make us easear.In my family they just knows in the world there is one religion that is yoga.We all yoga family.Amazingly many news papers and interviewd as.Hope i can continue my yoga journy by holding a hand together..om Namaha shivaya

  • Okay!!! I went to my first Asthanga class today. Kicked my butt! I like it, though. This was actually a workshop. Apparently there are no Ashtanga classes around here.

  • I new here just trying to figure out this board.
    I live in Northeast Michigan in the country
    I first got interested in Yoga about a year and half ago through P90X fitness program which has 1 day a week of what I would classify as power yoga. Out of all of the 7 days of workouts yoga is my favorite

  • Has anyone doing Ashtanga yoga noticed alot of sudden weight loss? I've been doing it since mid-January twice a week and in the last 2 weeks added a 3rd session. I have gone from 110 to 105!

  • Going on 5 months of doing Asntanga twice a week. I've added a third day now. I just love the primary series; we do most of it fitting it into 1 1/2 hours. If we did it all it would be closer to 2 hours. I'm finally getting the reverse Namaste hands and the balance poses a bit. Great news for a stiff old marathon runner like me! No, I don't run anymore, just some easy bicycling.

  • I had my first experience with Ashtanga this weekend. I didn't know much about it before but I feel blessed to have been introduced to it. I am so intrigued and curious about it and it's complexities. It seems almost magical to me... I can't wait to continue the exploration!
