  • I loved practicing Sivanandha yoga during my stay in Chennai,South India. I practice it and liked it's non-pressurizing ways of toning. Lately my RA has bothered me and I have quit doing yoga for a while. But after researching and reading, I realized that I should keep doing it softly and continually. I am thinking of doing teacher training at California,if everything falls into place.

  • Note: One also goes from ardha matsyendrasana to kakasana to somtimes mayurasana to pada hasthasana to trikonasana without savasana also, prior to final relaxation.

  • Sivananada does savasana between several asanas, but not between all asanas. One goes from sarvangasana to halasana to setubandhasana to chakrasana with some of the many variations without savasana. Savasana is needed after that. One hour of Sivanada yoga is like one hour of meditation, one hour of relaxation and one hour or exercise all in one. The placement of savasana deepens both the relaxation aspect and the meditation of the class.
