Padangusthasana-Parivrtta Parsvakonasana {3}

Practice highlights:

  • 4 rounds of Surya Namaskar B
  • I had less shaking in Padangusthasana and Padmasana.  I do Padmasana every other practice (see the "Seeking Motivation" post), although I had intended to work on Padangusthasana more regularly.  The second time I did the mini practice, I did Padmasana instead and decided to keep it.
  • I do Utthita Trikonasana every other practice.  My gaze to my thumb is getting easier.
  • My gaze was to the side in Parivrtta Trikonasana.  I lose my balance when I look at my thumb!
  • I haven't done Utthita Parsvakonasana since my last time through the series, and it felt like an old friend.  I forgot to gaze at my thumb at first, but remembered after a couple of breaths.
  • I got my opposite hand to the outside of my foot quite easily in Parivrtta Parsvakonasana today!  My front knee was not at 90 degrees, but my balance was good (the foot position I discovered the last time really helps).  At first I had my top arm reaching toward the ceiling, but then remembered to bring it by my ear and look at my thumb.
  • 12 breaths in Tolasana
