About Me

Hi I am Jax,Yoga is my everything...Sometimes I believe I was a yogi in a previous life. I have found childhood photos of me sitting in full lotus and always loved backbends and handstands. But I feel I really began my practice after the birth of my third child. I knew with 3 children under the age of three that I had a very busy future ahead of me. We also moved to the country and I no longer had access to ... well anything. I have to take a Ferry boat to reach civilization. I had read many books on yoga in the past and knew now was the time to start a home practice. So I bought a mat and some videos from yoga journal . I instantly felt better and  also it helped with the fatigue of motherhood. When my kids grew out of toddler stage. I found classes offered on campus at a local college. As my knowledge and practice grew over the years, I began teaching in my local community. Yoga has helped me through many tough times in life. Now I cant imagine life without it.Coffee House YogaArdha Chandrasana

Half Moon Inflight

Kahlil Gibran

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let our bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable Baddha KonasanaLotus PoseBaddha Konasana

Is your quest for meaning in life deadly serious? Then you're missing the point... In yoga, both body and mind should loosen up.  it's important to loosen up - and that doesn't just mean your body.
