About Me

I am a teacher of the Five Tibetan Rites. I have adapted them (whilst retaining their integrity) to make them safer for most people to practice daily over the long term.

I've taught well over a thousand students personally, and many thousands more through my books and DVD.  I have also trained around 32 teachers.

I used to teach the original Peter Kelder version which I learnt from another Five Tibetans teacher. However, I noticed a pattern of back and neck pain developing in a certain percentage of students per class. This resulted in them seeing various health practitioners or ceasing practice alltogether.

So I met with the very type of health practitoners these students were seeing, and tried their ideas out in my classrooms.  The result is T5T (my abbreviation for The Five Tibetans) - a step-by-step build up process that takes you from beginner level through to intermediate, advanced and beyond.  This method ensures that you grow strong from the inside out.  Instead of being like a soft-centered chocolate, hard on the outside but soft on the inside!  I got that metaphor from Susie Lapin, one of the physiotherapists I consulted.

T5T incorporates core stability - the deep core muscles closest to the spine that when activated correctly - wrap around and protect the spine like a natural weight belt.  I also included a much bigger emphasis on breathing.  I'm pleased to say the problems of the past have been eradicated.

The Five Tibetans have been a daily part of my life for the last 8 years and I will never stop doing them.  If you want to know more about them, I have a free ebook on my website that you can download.  It is the 1939 original story of the discovery of the Rites in Tibet called "The Eye of Revelation". This book is out of copyright now.  See http://t5t.com.au/us_store/index.php?cPath=26
